About Us
Peggy Scott’s is a charming roadside restaurant just off the northbound carriageway of the A90 – perfect for travelers on the go.
We’re well-known for our all-day breakfasts, but we also offer a range of lunch options, snacks, and delicious homemade treats, including cakes, biscuits, and tray bakes.
Our small convenience store and gift shop feature local products, including free-range eggs, homemade bread and pies, plus a great selection of wines and spirits.
What We Do
All Day Breakfast
Our breakfast menu is a crowd-pleaser, offering hearty choices for all, like the popular ‘Great Peggy’s Breakfast’, the Scottish Breakfast with locally made haggis and tattie scone, or the Veggie Breakfast.
Lighter breakfasts & children’s options are also available.
Main Meals And Snacks
We offer a great selection of mains and snacks incuding classic fish and chips & a rich steak pie made with local Aberdeen steak. If you’re in the mood for comfort food, our macaroni cheese is always a hit. We also offer lighter bites like paninis, sandwiches, baked potatoes, and soups, perfect for a quick, tasty meal. Children’s menu also available.
In House Bakery
Our in-house bakery offers a variety of freshly baked goods, including cakes, biscuits, tray bakes, pies, and desserts.
We also make homemade bread and offer made-to-order cakes and desserts for special occasions. Enjoy our baked treats in-house or take them to go.

We’re famous for our delicious all-day breakfasts, perfect for fuelling your travels or indulging in a leisurely morning. Choose from hearty options like The Great Peggy’s Breakfast, packed with 14 items, or The Scottish Breakfast, featuring locally made haggis and tattie scone.
If you’re looking for a lighter option, our Veggie Breakfast offers 9 tasty meat-free items. We also have smaller breakfast options available, including breakfast rolls, egg muffins and scrambled eggs, perfect if you’re after a quick bite. For the little ones, we offer a selection of children’s breakfasts, with options tailored just for them.
Whether you’re stopping in for a full breakfast or a light snack, you’ll find something to satisfy your appetite.
(Wherever possible we source our breakfast staples from the local area, including free-range eggs from a nearby farm, and local bacon, sausages, black pudding and haggis.)
Our In-House Bakery
Our bakery offers a tempting range of freshly baked treats. Whether you’re craving a classic slice of victoria sponge, a sweet and sticky strawberry tart, or a rich and decadent red velvet cake, we’ve got something to satisfy every sweet tooth.
If you’re after a lighter treat, our caramel shortcake and empire biscuits are perfect choices. We also bake a variety of traybakes, biscuits and pies that are ideal for a quick snack or a satisfying dessert.
All our bakery items are available to enjoy in-house or to take away, so you can treat yourself on the go. And don’t forget to pop into our gift shop for homemade tablet – a local favorite!
Our Freshly Brewed Coffee
We proudly serve Caber Coffee, a rich, full-bodied espresso blend made up of 70% Arabica and 30% Robusta beans. Beans are dark roasted on a traditional probat drum roaster, resulting in a South Italian-style espresso, packed with rich, chocolaty notes and a velvety crema.
Perfectly paired with our freshly baked treats, our coffee is a great way to recharge while you’re on the go or taking a break.
A wide range of other hot & cold drinks are also available.
What our customers say
This is a great place to stop between Dundee & Aberdeen with an easy entry and exit on the busy A90. It is spacious, with plenty of outside seating. The staff are friendly and efficient and the prices very reasonable. For us, the highlight was a decent gluten-free choice, with a sandwich made to order. The adjoining shop is well stocked and the fresh bread is highly recommended.

Food was excellent and hot!! Great value for money. Staff were unobtrusive but attentive and efficient. Will be back!
Parking: Plenty of spaces.
Kid-friendliness: Kids were no problem and well catered for.
Wheelchair accessibility: Good, single level access with plenty of open space and very good access around good height tables.

Looking for a wee independent cafe etc on the way to Aberdeen and this place didn’t disappoint. Lovely welcome and a great selection of coffee, cakes and tray-bakes. Also visited the well stocked gift shop on the way out.
We’ll definitely visit again on our next trip up this way.
